Three women journalists of different parts of the world were honored by his bravery in the exercise of the profession.

The journalism is a fascinating profession. It is a privilege to be a witness of events that change the course of the history. Reporting on them can be exciting, but also it needs of certain courage quantity and in some occasions the search for the truth puts the journalist in a precarious situation before those that show the power.
This is what has happened to a group of women who have just been prizewinners with the award to the value for the International Foundation of Women journalists. Every year, three women of different parts of the world are honored by his bravery in the exercise of the profession and one is recognized by the achievements of the whole life of career.
Before knowing them in the homage event, he had read his histories and they had upset me. Nevertheless, to listen to his declarations on having accepted the award brought a realism sense to the unbearable experience through that they have lived.
Iryna Khalip has exercised the journalism during more than 15 years in the Soviet ex-republic of Belorussia. It was employed at several newspapers that were closed by the government, but it keeps on denouncing the excesses of the dictatorship.: “When was it that we begin to lose our freedom?”, he wondered in the speech.: “Would it be when my companions were arrested for bringing what they saw?: or when the police leveled my house then that I published an article about corruption?: or perhaps when my friends began to eliminate one for one?”. To the dictatorships they do not like the journalists, he declared correctly. Or they destroy them or buy them. By his sharp style of Khalip reported she has been arrested, interrogated during long hours and struck by the police, but nevertheless he makes sure that it will not be silenced. “If all the mass media close me, I will shout the news”, he says. “Please listen”, he adds.
Agnes Taile, is an attractive and ingenious African young woman. With only 29 years of age it shows an exceptional knowledge and determination. Denouncing the corruption inside the government and the injustices to which the women are submitted in his native Cameroon, has turned into the mission of his life. When he accepted the award it did it addressed to all this young people who in his country do not have the possibility of studying, which are forced to prostituirse and to be in marriages forced from a young age.“ I think also about all these women who never will see again his children who were kidnapped, beheaded and up to burned alive for any rescue that was not paid”, he tells. There were the injustices that she has lived herself through what motivated it to turn into “monitor of the society”. Taile not only it lost his work in the radio and television, but almost it loses the life when it was extracted of his house on the verge of cutting weapon by strangers, brutally struck and left his luck. “I lost my work but my conviction is today stronger that never”, it supported.
Jila Baniyaghoob has devoted himself to defend the rights of the women in a country where the woman has little rights. It could not be there to receive his recognition. Till not long ago it was imprisoned in an Iranian prison by his coverage of the governmental repression to the declarations in protest for the results of the presidential elections. His husband, also journalist, still remains after the grills.
Amira Hass affirms that it does not understand why they gave him an award to the whole career life, when his work only represents a third part of his life. Also, he continues, his work has been a defeat. During the last 20 years Hass has brought on the conflict between Israelites and Palestinians with a different perspective. As the only Israelite Jewish woman taken root in the occupied territories has dared to denounce what he considers to be the unjust and immoral restrictions to which the Palestinians are submitted by the Israeli government. “My sources are not secret documents or the details develados of any meeting of those that show the power”, he said. “My sources are such shameless forms in which the oppressed ones are being dispossessed of his rights like human beings”, he made sure.
“ Thousands of my articles and million my words have evaporated. They could not compete with the official language that has been used by the world press evil interpreted the reality. That in a real journalistic defeat”, it concluded.
The experiences of these women must not stay in the anonymity, and his called ones to the justice must not be ignored. Every society has his problems and his good dose of injustices and inequities. In the United States, we still have not managed to value it lucky that we are like journalists of having the freedom of denouncing them without putting in game the life.
