I am not known like a quiet man.
But yes I ask them for permission so that we should reflect in silence, because in this moment our young people is dying for our country abroad and our country faces a decision that deserves to be analyzed. The American people will be attentive to our decision.
How does measure itself the aptitude of an individual to protect to this country? In the march of the history sometimes there are important moments that happen unnoticed. Almost six years ago, there was a moment of big clarity and premonition, and perhaps if the world had paid attention, today there was less pain and sadness.
In October, 2002, in a small stage and before a small multitude, Barack Obama, it pronounced a speech to which few ones paid attention. Energetically, and encouraged by an administration that doubted the patriotism of anyone that disagrees, Obama defined to the war as "a war without logical foundation, based on feeling; without beginning, but with political motivations". The Barack words were prophetic and brave: "I know that an invasion without foundation and without international firm support will only encourage the fire of the Middle East and will strengthen the Al-Qaeda recruiting”. The tenía the reason.
Obama foresaw that "a successful war in Iraq would need an American occupation without certain end, costly and of unforeseen consequences". The tenía the reason.
Six years later, in a simple but direct speech, Barack Obama did more that to challenge the President Bus: It offered a vision detailed for our foreign policy, including implementing the Treaty Against the Nuclear Proliferation, the condemnation of abuses of the human rights, still between our Allied Forces, and a commitment to the conciliation between Pakistan and the India. But at the same time, there was another voice. After September 11, John McCain put his look in Iraq, a country that nothing had to do with September 11, and demanded an entire invasion. Barack Obama foresaw the chaos. John McCain said that they would receive us like liberators and that Iraq would pay for its own reconstruction. John McCain was wrong. Barack Obama had the reason.

Obama was of the first ones in asking for a plan to withdraw responsibly to our troops. John McCain, up to today, is opposed to the idea. The Iraqis are requesting a date to step back the troops, but John McCain would compromise us to another 100 years more. John McCain is wrong. Barack Obama has the reason.
In spite of the war in Iraq and the war against the terrorists, the terrorists responsible for September 11 are still free, while Iran develops nuclear weapons and Russia invades Georgia. The United States needs a president who realizes the things well from the beginning. This president will be Barack Obama.
With a vision of foreign policy that comes beyond Iraq, Barack Obama has found in Joe Biden, another leader of big fortitude and knowledge. Barack Obama and Joe Biden believe that we must fight against the terrorists, not where we imagine that they are, but where we know that they are, in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
There came the hour of having a president promised to finish the poverty in the Third World and the genocide in Darfur, who will head international efforts to resist the global warming, which will strengthen our friendship with Mexico and Latin America, and which will support Israel with diplomatic efforts with end of achieving the peace in the Middle East. A president who puts the example of moral leadership, fulfilling exactly our Constitution, closing the jail in Guantanamo and ending with the torture.
Barack Obama and Joe Biden believe that it is already time to finish the work that we begin and catch Bin Laden.
We cannot continue with four more years of the same. It is time to achieve the change that so much needs the United States.
This is the vision and discernment of Barack Obama. This is the training that it has to be the President of the United States. And this is the man that we need to restore the credibility and good faith of the United States internationally and our place in the history.
