Barack Obama
This is a history “that some day will be reported by the first Hispanic president of the United States of America”, affirms the president of the nation.
Each of us comes from many different places. Possibly let's have roots in different countries and we represent a wide bogey of personal and political beliefs. But all of us say God. All of us share the determination to forge a better future for our children and grandchildren. And this debit to be a starting point to find a common area for the United States that we want to forge.
Like some of you, I am a son of someone who came to these coasts in search of a better future. And although it is true that I am the first African American president, there is nothing singular not unusually in the opportunities that this country gave to me. Rather, like many generations of Americans, it could tell in the fundamental promise from which, independently from appearance or origin, the United States will allow you to come that far like your sleep and your effort that they should allow it to you.
And this promise is key in the history of the United States. It is a history shared by many of you, by members of the clergy and of the Congress; for managerial leaders and community organizers. It is the history of every child who has the opportunity to go further of what his parents could do it. It is the history of a girl of a quarter of subsidized housings that became named to the court of major hierarchy of the country. And I am sure that it is a history that some day will be reported by the first Hispanic president of the United States of America.
But we know that a lot of more work stays for doing to extend the best promise of a life to all our children and grandchildren. In everything what we do he must to us guide this simple order with which there coincide all the big religions of the world: to love the neighbor as one himself.

Also we know that to fulfill this promise means to respect the tradition of the United States as constitutional state and immigrants' nation. These things are not contradictory, they complement each other. That's why I am compromised to achieve the approval of the integral reform of immigration as President of the United States.
The American people believes in the immigration, but also he believes that we neither can tolerate a situation in which the people come to the United States trasgrediendo the laws, we cannot even tolerate that the employers exploit the undocumented workpeople to reduce the wages. That's why we are taking measures to reinforce the safety of the borders and must redouble these efforts. Also we have to clarify the status of millions that are here undocumented, many of which have thrown roots. From those that they wish to become citizens, we must demand from them that they should pay a fine and that they should pay taxes, should learn English and should put themselves at the end of the line, behind whom they have expired with the norms. This is the just, practical and promising way to be continued, and this is what I have promised to achieve like President of the United States.
The Writing says to us: "The word is very close to you; you have it in the mouth and in the heart, so that you obey it”. Today, let's ask for the fortitude to find the word in our heart and the vision to see the United States that we can forge together, how a nation and like a people. Thanks for his cooperation. Thanks for his prayers. That God blesses the United States of America.
“The United States will allow you to come
that far like your sleep and your effort allow it to you”.
