Up to the date the workpeople of the restaurant add 15 I drink Trattoria located in Crystal City, Virginia that they have not got the payment for his fees after having worked per days, weeks and until months. For this reason with the support of the organization Tenant and Close Workpeople the ex-personnel came on Friday, the 13th of February up to the door of the establishment to demand the owner and recognized chef, Roberto Donna the payment for not stipendiary work.
While the messmates were tasting the thin Italian meal that makes use in Bebbo Trattoria the workpeople were protesting with cartels in hand where they were demanding as soon as possible the payment of his fees.
“ A company or business that does not pay the salary of his workpeople must not exist. We are thinking about how to come first to a conciliation, but of not achieving a payment agreement we will present officially a demand”, it pointed out Washington Hispanic, lawyer Simon Y. Moshenberg, who represents nine workers whose debt for not full wages amounts to 17.500 dollars approximately.
Robert Donna tried to communicate Washington Hispanic to himself with the chef, but up to the closing of this edition he did not answer the call. For his part the lawyer mentioned to these mass communication media that after the protest, Donna met the group of personnel in private and admitted that it has a debt, but also it pointed out that the list of creditors is enormous and that it meets economic problems.

Of “unjustifiable“ and “immoral“ there have been catalogued the actions of the office of immigration and customs (I HOISTED, for his initials in English) in reference to the realized raid last January 23, 2007 in a shop 7-Eleven in the city of Baltimore in which arretó to 24 immigrants of Hispanic origin.
After a long legal battle led by senator Barbara Mikulski and House of Maryland a report was obtained in which one he remained a confirmee that the team of officials of immigration of Baltimore acted as pressed for fulfilling an annual quota of 1.000 arrests for team. Also, according to the last report revealed by House of Maryland on Wednesday, the 18th of February it stays in evidence that the officials involved in the investigation lied in his affidavits.
“ In the report it remains clear that it was a planned raid because they were not coming to the demanded quota and as well as they lied on having accepted the thesis from which they – the officials of the ICE - came to 7-Eleven during his rest and which they were the immigrants who approached his vans in search of a work and the video that we have sample clearly that did not happen this way”, tells the lawyer of House of Maryland, Michelle Méndez.
Some weeks ago House of Maryland presented a video that shows the moment in which there took place the raid where is appreciated how the officials of the ICE surrounded the workpeople with Latin appearance and had stopped them. The same way it presents how they did not interrogate persons and passers-by of Anglo-Saxon and African American appearance.
“ Undoubtedly the ICE is or it was employed at function to quotas. The New York Steal it presented a report that confirms it. It is known that only 9 % of the arrested has criminal precedents, the rest they are only undocumented workpeople”, it pointed out Washington Hispanic, Gustavo Torres.
