"His three-year-old daughter was diagnosed by leukemia".
In less than 10 minutes the life of Paula Roldós, of Ecuadoran origin gave a draft of 360 grades on having discovered that his small daughter three-year-old Lauren was suffering from leukemia. The pain and the uncertainty took possession of the family, but the missive was one: to save Lauren's life. Immediately the girl put herself in hands of the doctors of the Children's Hospital of Miami and began the hard battle against the cancer. “My biggest advantage is that I acted on time and that the leukemia of my daughter performed low risk. Lauren was six months in permanent chemotherapy, almost it could not walk and had to feed it with syringes”, it tells Washington Hispanic Paula Roldós.
During the whole process of recovery of his daughter Paula the anxiety lived in proper meat of there saw dying a son and this experience he allowed him to share with other parents who were crossing for the same Calvary, even many of them were coming from other countries of Latin America in search of a remedy for his children.

“ About this time I was thinking it lucky that was on having been provided with all the medical resources that exist in this country. For example in my country, Ecuador, the children die. Thanks to this experience I knew closely the big work that realizes the hospital St. Jude who is the only center that after having a diagnosis of this nature is able to design the treatment suitable and personalized for every patient and that's why the children are saved”, expresses Paula Roldós.
Of the hand with the art
For this reason inspired by a deep gratitude feeling Paula Roldós devoted herself like artist and Ronald Reagan painted 31 pictures which are exhibited in the center Woodrow Wilson in the building in Washington DC (1300 pensilvania Bird).
The most laudable thing is that 50 per cent of everything collected in the exhibition - sale of the paintings will be donated to the Children's Hospital of Miami and to the Hospital St. Jude. Between the paintings selection there is a titled "Health" that has been signed by recognized personages of the spectacle like the model Sissy, the Fat person Raúl de Molina, Gloria Estefan, between others, as well as of political personalities like ambassadors and the prince of Iran. The intention is that this linen is auctioned during the gala of the National Association of Leukemia of the United States for the purpose of collecting the biggest quantity of funds that will be destined for the scientific investigation against the cancer. According to the artist the auction might begin in 25.000 dollars and it might come to more than 250.000 dollars.
“ With all this experience I have learned that the human part is the only thing that matters and that the rest is only a makeup. I am very grateful to the life because for example in many opportunities my daughter received blood of many persons that I do not even know and now I want to remunerate partly my gratitude helping other families than to be crossing therefore I lived and they lack resources to be able to save his children. I have discovered that across the art I can mobilize many persons and raise the conscience on the illness”, Paula Roldós finished.
