From next school year 2009-2010 the students in the District of Columbia will have to leave the 'jeans' and the blouses or poles that exhibit the armpits and replace his most diverse garments by the only and obligatory uniform.
This measurement answers to a recent politics promulgated by the chancellor of education of the District of Columbia, Michelle Rhee with the intention to establish an order and to promote a better discipline between the pupils.
The new measurement authorizes the directors of the schools so that they establish and implement the use of an obligatory uniform which would consist of khaki pants and pole with neck, as well as also it offers lineaments more detailed on the codes of clothing.
According to the chancellor very eccentric styles will not be allowed, not very exact, not either glasses of the sun, hats, pledges that you exhibit the armpits, not pledges that they allow to see below the clothes. Of equal way there remains prohibited any pledge that takes prominent metals.
Although the new measurement gives authority to the directors to demand the use of the uniform, it does not establish specific sanctions for not expiring with the order. From equal way the students might receive a sanction, but they cannot be expelled, not suspended. Also the schools will be provided with the resources to help those pupils of scarce resources who cannot gain access to the buy of the school uniform.
