The Latin Corporation for the Economic Development (LEDC for his initials in English) celebrated the opening of its own office, piece of news and perm, in 2405 Price Avenue, Wheaton, Maryland. A measles sprout has registered seven infected ones (up to the closing of this edition) in the metropolitan DC area.
Until now, a person in Virginia, two in DC and four in Maryland have been confirmed like infected.
The cause of the sprout was a man who traveled to the India for three weeks being contagious in this country. The individual was not vaccinated against the infectious illness.
This situation has provoked an alert between the authorities of health, since the illness is contagious easily across sneezes, cough or contact with mucus of the nose, mouth or gullet of someone infected.
Most of the persons in the country are immune to this illness on having received his vaccine, which also includes immunization for the German measles and the mumps.

Until now, the contagion areas involve so much DC, Maryland and Virginia. They has informed that the areas of possible infection include the school Stone Ridge in Bethesda, the restaurant Vegetable Garden of Rockville Pike in Rockville, and the Jiffy Lub of Nicholson Ave. in Maryland.
In Virginia, the contagion happened in the restaurant Saigon Saigon of Pentagon Row and Harris Teeter of the same street.
Finally, in DC the infection happened in the restaurant Potbelly close to the metro station of Federal Center, and in the Safeway of the street N in south-west of the city.
All these contagions happened between April 4 and 5.
To help in the identification of others infected, the DC health services, Maryland and Virginia have arranged free telephone lines so that the persons could communicate to themselves with the authorities (to see box).
At the same time, if he believes that it is infected by measles, it is requested that, of going to the doctor, I allowed him to know before going to the specialist in order to avoid more contagions in the consultation.
The symptoms of the measles include a reddening of the skin, generally about the neck and the face, which then spreads to other parts of the body. Also, the illness provokes high fever, head cold, tearful eyes, cough and eruption the interior of the mouth.

At the end of this edition a virtual tie was supported between two of six democratic candidates who faced in primary elections on Tuesday, the 21st, to represent the District 4 in the Council of the County of Montgomery. They are the Hispanic leader Nancy Navarro, of Silver Spring, who was supported in the first place over the businessman Ben Kramer, Rockville.
At the end of the votes inventory realized in hours of the Tuesday night, Nancy Navarro obtained more than 3.000 votes in his favor and won for a difference of 78 votes on Kramer. But they were missing to take into account still approximately 670 “votes in absence”, directed by electorate route mail, and other “provisional votes”, expressed by residents who for diverse reasons were not appearing in the lists.
The final inventory of the above mentioned ballots began at 2:30 p.m. of Thursday, the 23rd and it had to culminate on the following day, in accordance with the electoral meeting of Montgomery. There was enormous tension between the campaign committees for knowing the results.
“ Everything depends of how rapid one is employed at the count”, said Nancy Navarro to Washington Hispanic, who optimist was supported with regard to the ending of the voting.
He added that in case of turning out to be a winner primary in these, what will give him the favor in the general election of May 19 – opposite to the republican Robin Ficker - he will devote himself to fall sick the principal problems of the county, between which he emphasized the related ones to the budget.
“ That is key to determine the priorities, especially in education and in the creation of sources of work”, Navarrese emphasized.
Also, there considered important the defender of a politics that should favor the immigrants, who form an important percentage in the county. “With me they will have a voice that will help them to promote the integral migratory reform”, it offered.
Navarrese Nancy resides in Montgomery for 18 years. She was a community activist and in October, 2004 5 was named like temporary representative of the District in the Directorate of Education of the county. In 2006 it was chosen by a term of four years and from this year until 2007 it occupied the president's charge of the above mentioned entity.
