They announce reopening of historical Eastern Market

A little more than two years there lasted the process of renewal of historical Eastern Market, after which big part of the establishment was remaining consumed by the flames of a voracious fire on April 30, 2007. Now the city prepares itself to open again the doors of a completely renewed Eastern Market, with new and modern structures to guarantee not only the preservation of the historical building but also the safety of sellers and visitors.
The announcement was realized by the mayor of Washington DC, Adrian Fenty, who after realizing a trip for the establishment located between the streets 7 and C of Capitol Hill it expressed that on Friday, the 26th of June an opening ceremony will be realized and the operations will begin, while on Saturday, the 27th a big community celebration will be realized.
Constructed 134 years ago in the heart of the local community of Capitol Hill, Eastern Market appears in the list of the National Record of Historical Places and it is a place of expense of eatables up to where also there come local agricultural producers and craftsmen who offer his products done to hand.
After the fire the affected merchants of the south pavilion were moved to the pavilion East and now they prepare themselves to begin relocating from Sunday, the 14th of June.
This way mayor Adrian Fenty expired with his promise to reconstruct as soon as possible one of the buildings that are part of the identity and the history of Washington DC.
“ I am very proud of that the District has expired with his commitment to re-live through the Eastern Market as rapid as the humanly possible thing. Also we have done it with the most minimal interruption without affecting the daily operations and of fine of week of the market”, expressed mayor Adrian Fenty.

Modern and sure
The renewal of Eastern Market includes a modern team of air conditioning and heating, new hygienic services, water roceadores installation to avoid fires and access to ramps for disabled persons. Also the chimneys and the fanlight have been restored. The same way they have installed new windows to themselves with protection from the ultraviolet beams (UV).
On the other hand the north pavilion will be provided with a movable stage, walls to be used like gallery, dance floor and system of lighting with the intention of offering more attractions for the community and at the same time it is possible to rent for the events achievement.

The mayor of Washington DC, Adrian Fenty announced a change in his team of work on having named Neil O. Albert as the new manager of the District of Columbia.
Neil O. Albert, it was getting out of debt like vice mayor for planning and economic development since Fenty occupied the mayor's charge in January, 2007. Now it replaces Dan Tangherlini, who after serving to the city for 11 years has been nominated by the president Barack Obama to occupy the assistant's charge secretary for administration and finance of the Department of the Treasure of the United States.
“ The vice mayor Albert has been a key piece of our administrative team and we will continue with all the big initiatives that are in march in the city. Albert will be an incredible leader for the agencies of the city and his labor force”, expressed mayor Fenty.
With regard to the Tanglerhini nomination, the mayor showed to feel proudly that a member of his team was selected to serve to the nation under the administration Obama and in so important roll.
The position to which it has been nominated Tanglerhini is considered to be that of advisers' higher status of politics for the Secretary of the Treasure and of the undersecretary in topics of development and execution of the budget of the agency.
With regard to the new manager of the city it is known that under his responsibility how vice mayor had to develop the strategy of the mayor in the project of improvement and substitution of pipes, as well as the allocation of more than 13 trillion dollars in projects of public - private housing, offices and parks. Of equal way it was the responsible of preserving housings to low cost and watching that DC keeps on being an attractive place where to carry on business.

They inaugurate center for violence victims

To find all the services in only one place is the foundation on which there was established the Center of Familiar Justice (FJC, for his initials in English) in the county of Montgomery with the intention of helping and of offering immediate assistance to the victims of domestic violence.
Now thanks to the foundations collaboration, organizations and the support of the county, the center opened his doors to the community on Monday, the 18th of May to facilitate the access to the services and to improve the steps that the violence victims must realize to find the assistance and necessary commission.
Considered only one in his class in the metropolitan area, the Center of Familiar Justice will be used like model for other jurisdictions that think about how to control and eradicate the constant danger that constitutes to be a victim of domestic violence.
According to the general surgeon of the United States, the domestic violence is the first cause of injuries between women of 15 to 44 years. In 2007 the county of Montgomery brought seven children murdered by one of the parents with a history of domestic violence, three women murdered by his couples, more than 8.000 calls to 911 for familiar discussions, more than 2.500 orders of restriction, between other worrying numbers.
“ The victims of domestic violence deserve a sure place where they could receive the services and the help of the agents of the order and this is precisely what this center is going to do”, pointed out Leggett.
