A “transplantes Domino” is as it has been named to the chain of donations and transplant of bigger kidney of the medical history. For three weeks a group of doctors in four hospitals of the country realized successfully eight transplant of kidney.
This life miracle was possible thanks to a model of multistate networks of donors and recipients that are achieved when several patients who need the operation have friends or relatives ready to donate kidneys, but they are not compatible. This initiative would help to reduce greatly the long waiting-lists. With a whole of 127 dead persons and 27.717 cases properly verified up to ends of June, the porcine flu (type A H1N1) beats strongly in the whole nation, in spite of the sunny temperatures of this summer epoch.
The worry of the authorities is growing, when the country is to scarce five autumn weeks, epoch in which the decrease of the temperatures can untie an unstoppable wave of infected by the dangerous virus.

This situation motivated the call, from the White House, of a “Summit of Preparation for the Influenza H1N1”, that developed on Thursday, the 9th in the head office of the National Institutes of Health. The meeting was provided with the participation of three members of the Office Obama, the Secretaries of Health, of National Safety and of Education, Kathleen Sebelius, Janet Napolitano and Arne Duncan, respectively.
“ The scientists and the experts in health predict that the impact of the flu A H1N1 will deteriorate during the autumn, station that is only six weeks”, warned Sebelius.
He remembered that the World Organization of the Health (WHO) declared two months ago a global pandemic of the above mentioned type of influenza.
Today the virus affects to more than 100 countries of the world, with more than 440 deaths until the last June 25.
The critical situation beats to a great extent to the countries of Latin America, especially the placed ones in the south end of the hemisphere, who in these months support a raw winter.
- in Mexico, the number of deceased rose up to 121 and of infected to 11.700.
- in Argentina, the number of dead persons for the porcine flu came to 70, ten more than the previous week, as confirmed the minister of Health, Juan Manzur.
- in Chile, the flu A H1N1 caused 19 dead persons and 9.135 infected ones.
- in Uruguay the virus of the porcine flu already provoked the death of six persons.
- in Paraguay and Peru three fatidical cases were announced in each of these South American countries. The first one of them declared on Tuesday, the 7th the national state of emergency for 90 days.

Educational plan for adults in Fairfax

Pretext does not exist so that an adult person does not finish the secondary school and obtains a diploma or certificate known as GED. The public schools of Fairfax's county (GO) offer a finished educational program for adults that allows to graduate of the secondary school across multiple options, according to the needs of every student.
The program of adult education has 51 years of life and annually 12.000 students register and 900 graduate. Mostly the participants are adults of all the ages that for some reason left the school in the United States, they did not finish his secondary education in his fatherlands or it is to them very difficult to obtain the certification of his country what is known as the school-leaving certificate.
“ We have programs as the needs of every pupil, which mostly are immigrant that do not speak English or know very little. Our target is that they could finish the school and improve his quality of life”, points out Jane Cruz, director of the program.
“ It is very important to have a diploma of having finished the secondary school to face the challenges of the New century”, he adds Cross.
The programs are free for persons up to 22 years, after this age they have a reasonable tariff from 58 dollars up to 580, according to the income of every person for six months of classes.

The first Hispanic fireman of Montgomery dies

I still remember the passion with which there was proving to be his collection of firemen's cars seated to me in his office where it was directing the Center of Community Services of the Firemen of the county of Montgomery. With spirit cheerful and full of optimism Carlos Alfaro Sr shared two years ago with Washington Hispanic his life full of challenges, but also of satisfactions after there was considered the first Hispanic fireman of the county of Montgomery.
After a hard and long battle against the cancer, Carlos Alfaro Sr stopped existing, last July 2, in the hospital of the University of Maryland of Baltimore and initiated a new trip to the glory and to the eternal rest.
“ I will die fireman and will keep on working until the end”, expressed to us Alfaro during the interview in 2007 and fulfilled it until his state of health allowed it to itself moving back from the fire department of Montgomery in March of this year, after 34 years of service.
As it was of be waiting Carlos Alfaro was dismissed with all the honors by his coworkers, whom he was considering to be his family.
“ We the firemen are very close because we live in community. In the epoch that one is employed at the barracks one sleeps, eats and shares many other things, we are a family. For this reason I do not feel that I work because I realize what more I like”, said Alfaro in interview with this way.
To the deathwatch and mass of present body realized in the catholic church St. Bernadette also assisted the chief of the firemen, Richie Bowers, who with very much feeling expressed his condolences to the widow, missis Norma Alfaro. The presents, between relatives, friends and coworkers were approaching the coffin to say goodbye of the fireman, the husband, the father and the big friend who in life was Carlos Alfaro Sr. The burial was realized on Wednesday, the 8th of July in the cemetery Gate of Heaven in Aspen Hill, Maryland.
Now Carlos Alfaro Sr made one of his sleep real, to meet again with his son in the sky, after fulfilling an intense work in the ground where he could say: "Complete mission”. Carlos Alfaro Jr., who also was a fireman cancer victim died at the age of 35 years in 2007.
Heart fireman
Carlos Alfaro came to the United States of his native Peru with a lot of sleep for reaching a better life in 1969 and thanks to his service vocation it managed to enter to the firemen's department of Silver Spring. Alfaro was employed at a financial institution in his country where also he was a voluntary fireman.
“ To turn into fireman in the USA was an unattainable sleep. I asked a neighbor who was a fireman who goes to me like volunteer, but on having discovered that in contrast to Peru, here they pay for being a fireman, I decided to enter”, it told in life Alfaro Washington Hispanic.
Carlos Alfaro is recognized in the county of Montgomery for establishing a center of communications and thanks to his passion for helping the others it could realize donations of teams of firemen to countries of Latin America, between them Peru and Guatemala.

Meeting
The Center of Resources for Parents of the Office of Special education realizes a meeting of support for the parents, minders of children and young people who have been diagnosed by autism, PDD-NOS, syndrome of Asperger or syndrome of Rett.
