The users of the system of the Meter must trust in the accident control measures that are adopted to improve the trains service in the metropolitan area of Washington DC, affirmed John Catoe, Manager general of the above mentioned company.
“ The system of Meter and the public transport in general there constitute one of surest ways of traveling”, indicated Catoe, on Wednesday, the 22nd.
As example quoted the fact that the number of deaths in transit accidents in the country promoted approximately 40.000 persons in 2007, of whom only 25 correspond to the railroad transit.
Catoe answered this way to a report of the newspaper Washington Post, in which it points out that flaws in many safety circuits have been detected along the routes of the system of trains of Meter.
On this matter, Catoe answered that it has been carried out “an exhaustive analysis and the most rigorous procedure of maintenance to check the circuits of the routes in the trains system”.
“ We investigate immediately any thing that we observe, for kidling who should be, it added.
He told that that means debts in some sections of the routes, “as it happens when it is circulated across a highway where works are realized”.
“ But that does not mean that there are problems with the safety and what we have detected up to the date it is not a sign of a technological flaw extended along the whole system of control of the trains”, he affirmed.
The official announced that during last two weeks a report has been drafted computarizado two times for day “to have a more exact vision of the circuits of the routes”.
“ The above mentioned test was realized once for month; now we realize it 14 times per week, that is to say, 56 times every month and as a result of this more rigorous review we have found circuits of the routes where there are anomalies”, told Catoe.
“ For that reason we carry the most rigorous maintenance procedure out” in the whole system of trains of Meter, he said.

For his part the governor Kaine also counted the case of a priest of his church in Richmond, to whom they denied an extension to remain in the country based on an expired medical examination, precisely because they stayed on many months processing the request.
Politicians commit themselves
In this sense the governor Tim Kaine and Paul Reagan, chief of the team of work of senator Jim Webb, who could not come to the meeting, promised to facilitate a meeting between leaders of V.O.I.C.E and the secretary of the Department of Internal Safety, Janet Napolitano to see of what way there can be solved the debts of the migratory steps in the state of Virginia and the points keys of an integral migratory reform.
Of equal way, Kaine expressed that it will put major attention in the dental care for the families of scarce resources and admitted that although one of his priorities during his order has been to extend the medical services for the children, he had not stopped to think about the dental care.
It is so it expressed that in the new budget that it will present before the Legislative Assembly he will look for funds to offer dental services to the families of scarce resources.
