The president of the Republic Bolivariana of Venezuela, Hugo Chávez Frías, announced the creation of a bilateral commission Venezuela - El Salvador, to begin to work and develop projects of cooperation between both countries.
This way it announced it at the end of the meeting that it supported on Tuesday, the 19th with the elect president of the Central American country, Mauricio Funes, where “from today one began to be employed at the Petrocaribe evaluation, and the commercial, economic, energy and social exchange”, indicated Chávez, according to the information spread by the Agency Bolivariana of News (ABN).
Funes for his part, was grateful to the president Chávez for his offerings but especially “for his enormous heart and united spirit, for his vision integracionista”.
Also, he emphasized that the option to obtain Venezuelan oil at preferential prices, will allow his government to be able to take to the Salvadorans fuel to lower costs and in turn this one to generate surpluses that could be used for the development of social programs that, as it recounted, are urgent to help in his nation.
" The president Chávez has been very respectful in the sense of saying to us that the possibilities of cooperation and of support that the Venezuelan Government could give are going to depend on our needs and that the rhythm of the same ones will go according to the circumstances through that the Salvadoran people lives”, the future Salvadoran chief declared.
The announcement was formulated on having concluded a meeting celebrated in Caracas, between both chiefs. There came to this meeting a covey of leaders and possible officials of the future government of the FMLN.
Chávez announced that on June 1 he will visit El Salvador to take part in the capture of possession and the celebration of the ascent of the FMLN to the Executive power, which will be able term to 20 years of successive governments of the party SAND.
The Venezuelan president expressed that “Venezuela is of exhilaration for the Funes visit”, with whom he wants to consolidate a new spirit for the shape of the unit.
“ Here we are joined by the conscience of the Liberating Bolivar and of Farabundo Martí, fighters for the necessary integration, and a big responsibility for our peoples, happy we are of having received them”, said Chávez.
Funes indicated that his country will keep on receiving from Venezuela cooperation to develop and to impel programs in areas as sensitive as the health and the social projects.
He emphasized that the meeting generates for the big Salvadorans expectations of which “with the support of the people and Venezuelan Government” this Central American nation could extract forward his “damaged economy”.
“We have met a Government and a united President”, he emphasized.

The Minister of Defence, Juan Manuel Santos, credited with some of the biggest successes in the struggle against the guerrillas, resigned on Monday, the 19th from the charge to throw his presidential pre-candidacy, which determined if the president Alvaro Uribe decides or not to choose for a third consecutive order.
53-year-old saints, he said in press conference that he was considering his work to be complete after almost three years at the head of the portfolio and that now he would devote himself to his life.

Was not mentioned immediately who would replace Saints, in whose management the Colombian armed forces aimed some of the hardest military coups to him at the rebellious Revolutionary Armed forces of Colombia (FARC).
In the missive directed to Uribe, it exhibited that "I will happen of being a Minister of Defence to be a simple but determined promoter of his cause. I will devote myself, as you do it, to work, to work and to be employed for the continuity of (national politics of) 'democratic safety' at that we can lower neither the guard nor only one millimeter while the beast of the terrorism is still alive".
" If the president (Uribe) decides to throw himself, he is provided with my entire support. It is the commitment that I have done with him and with the country and am going to honor it. If he decides not to throw himself to a new reelection, I will be a candidate", it supported Saints.
Between some of the successes that Santos has showed they are the death of one of the tallest commanders of the FARC, Raúl Reyes, on March 1, 2008, in a polemic action in which another 24 persons perished and it implied penetrating to Ecuadoran territory to bombard the clandestine camp in which the leader was insurgent.
Also Santos headed the liberation of a group of notable hostages in power of these guerrillas across an intrepid operation in which not even a bullet went off on July 2, 2008.
