The mayor of Managua and ex-tricampeón boxing world cup, Alexis Argüello, was found dead on Wednesday, the 1st, reported the Secretariat of Information and Citizenship of Nicaragua. He was 57 years old.
The cause of death was not informed. The corpse was found in the dawn and then taken to the Institute of Legal Medicine for the autopsy.
Argüello was elect in November mayor of Managua, from which he had already been a deputy mayor in the previous period endorsed by the Front Sandinista of National Liberation (FSLN), to whose revolutionary diet, contradictoriamente, was opposed in the decade of ‘80 when it showed his support to the "contras" or the resistance financed by the United States.

He was a world boxing champion in three categories for nine years.
Alexis Argüello known as "The Explosive Weak point" by his fortress given and ripe figure, was a champion of the featherweight between 1974-77, of the weight light novice monk between 1978-80, and of the light weight of 1981-83.
