The oficialista Departed from National Action (BREAD) admitted the victory of the ex-Institutional Revolutionary Divided leader (PRI) into a few legislative elections that have turned it into the most powerful party of the Congress.
The president Felipe Calderón, militant of the BREAD, affirmed on Tuesday, the 7th that his government was recognizing “the new composition of the House of Representatives” and threw a named one to the political forces to leave behind the competition and to look for coincidences to achieve agreements that allow to the country to face the economic recession and the violence of the organized crime.
The Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) for his part, supported on Monday, the 6th, the day after his round victory, that he had learned of the past and changed one his way of doing the things.
The PRI centred his campaign on the economic crisis and used his enormous national political network for more that to duplicate his benches in the Congress and to gain five of six disputed election races for governor on Sunday, the 5th.
For his part, the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD), of leftist tendency and that in 2006 had his best performance on having remained in the antechamber of the presidency, turned out to be relegated to a distant third place.
On Sundays elections 300 deputies were chosen in a direct way and the remaining 200 will be distributed from the percentage of voting of each one. Also there were elected six of 31 governors and hundreds of mayoralties and local legislators.
At state level, the PRI gained the governments in New León, San Luis Potosí and Querétaro. The BREAD gained the election race to direct the frontier state of Sonorous, controlled by the PRI until a fire in an infantile center killed 48 children in June.

Ortega apologizes to Taiwan

The president of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega, apologized before the chief of Taiwan, Ma Ying-jeou, for a supposed inattention that led to Taipei to threatening to call his ambassador in protest, they spread on Sunday, the 5th the communication local media.
The supposed insult happened during the first official Ma visit to Nicaragua since it came to the presidency 13 months ago. The Central American nation is one of the 23 that they recognize officially after Taipei instead of to China.

Ortega apologized later and took personally in a vehicle Ma to inspect a bilateral agricultural project, indicated the information.
The apparent scorn came to the principal news spaces in Taiwan. According to some newspapers, Ortega was expressing inconvenience because Taiwan suspended his generous financial assistance to Nicaragua because this country improves the relations with China. Beijing considers Taiwan to be a rebellious island.
According to assistants of Ortega, the Nicaraguan president was occupied attending to the coup d'état in the nearby Honduras and the funeral of the mayor of Managua, Alexis Argüello, who committed suicide last week.
The president Ma said on Saturday, the 4th in Managua that the government of Nicaragua guaranteed the preservation of the diplomatic ties with Taiwan.
