The cartel of The Family threw a counter-offensive without precedents to attack and to murder federal police officers opened in the western state of Michoacán, which included an ambush against 12 agents, which were tortured and died.
Another six federal police officers perished in at least a dozen of attacks from the weekend.
The spokesman of Public Safety of the federal government, Monte Alejandro Rubido, informed in press conference that the bodies of 11 men and a woman who were found on Monday, the 13th in a Michoacán highway were federal police officers who were out of service and that were emboscados for orders of The Family.
Rubido informed that from intelligence works it was that in the operative structure of The Family there was taking part Julius Caesar Godoy Toscano, elect federal deputy for the leftist party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD) and half a brother of the governor of Michoacán, Leonel Godoy.
The federal spokesman said that there is already an apprehension order against Godoy Toscano, considered to be one of the managers to create networks of official protection to allow to operate to the cartel in a Michoacán area.
An ex-candidate for federal deputy by the minority Green Party, Saúl Solís, also was involved and indicated that of doing you should relate with authorities and businessmen for The Family.
“ Undoubtedly the cartel of The Family michoacana has been characterized by his virulence”, pointed out Rubido.
“ It is, we believe, which with major belligerency fights the authority; in this sense we have not to of being surprised at this type of reaction”, it added.

In the city of Monterrey, in the north of the country, six armed subjects perished on Tuesday, the 14th, in a clash with the federal police. Three agents turned out to be injured men.

The new Secretary of the Interior of Peru, general Octavio Salazar Miranda, he announced the creation of a Unit of Social conflict that will be provided with professionals of high category, to examine and to give solution to the problems that the National Police of his country confront.
He told that the above mentioned experts will be in charge of “of looking at the problems in its entirety and not of only one side”. He added that “teams of cases” will form to study every problem and to find a satisfactory ending to the demands.
