The Venezuelan president Hugo Chávez announced the freezing of the relations with the government of Colombia, arranged the retirement of the Venezuelan ambassador and of diplomatic personnel in Bogota together with warning that it might break the relations with the nearby country.
" Before this new aggression of the irresponsible government of Colombia, I have ordered to withdraw our ambassador of Bogota, withdraw to our diplomatic personnel.
