Venezuela prepares itself to break in any moment his diplomatic relations with Colombia due to the plan of the nearby country to give him to the American troops major access to his military bases, announced on Tuesday, the 25th the president Hugo Chávez.
Chávez affirmed that “there is no possibility” of repairing the relations with the government of the president Alvaro Uribe, and turned instructions to his chancellor Nicolás Maduro so that it begins preparing the rupture with Colombia.
“ It is necessary to prepare the relations rupture with Colombia, that is going to happen”, affirmed the Venezuelan leader in an act of farewell of the Cuban ambassador in Caracas.
Venezuela and Colombia have faced more than one month as result of the negotiations between Bogota and Washington, which would allow him the American forces to increase his presence in seven Colombian bases by means of an agreement to 10 years.
For the prompt thing, Chávez ordered his military men that to be prepared for a possible clash and announced plans to buy tens Russian tanks to increase the military capacity of the country.
The Colombian and American authorities support that the agreement is necessary to fight with major effectiveness the drug trafficking and the terrorism.
Chávez made fun of the claims, cataloguing Colombia of “the drug trafficker - State“ and on having affirmed that his political leadership "lives" of the commerce of cocaine.
In relation to the agreements with Washington, it expressed that “these seven bases are a war declaration against the revolution bolivariana and like that we assume it”, referring to his socialistic political project.
The Venezuelan leftist leader warned that the government of the United States might use these Colombian military facilities as a throwing platform for future operations directed to demolish leaders of Latin America like him.
