Thousands of persons paraded during the whole day the Argentine Congress to produce a last homage to 74-year-old, deceased singer Mercedes Sosa at the dawn of Sunday, the 4th of October.
Since his death was known, his admirers kept patiently hours of line to gain access to the wake organized in the lounge of the Lost Steps of the Congress, an honor only saved for the most important political and cultural personalities.
The Argentine president, Cristina Fernández, decreed three days of duel in the country and came to say goodbye of Soda accompanied by his husband, the ex-president Néstor Kirchner, and of the majority of his Office.
There have come to the Congress also officials, artists, friends, activists of human rights and admirers of the “Tasteless Black woman“, as it was known affectionately by his followers.
The coffin with the Soda remains occupied the center of the lounge of the Lost Steps, escorted by the Argentine flag and a frame of crowns of flowers, and accompanied by his relatives.
The homage to Mercedes Sosa was marked by the sadness and the silence only broken by a group of friends of the singer, artists Peteco Carbajal, Guy Farias and Teresa Parodi, between others, who interpreted in his honor some of his most popular topics, like “Moon tucumana”, of Atahualpa Yupanqui, “Thanks to the life”, of Violeta Parra, and “Knock-kneed not to die”.

During his most recent presentation in the Hispanic Festival of Cox, Juan Carlos Molina, he sang and loved.
The young singer, who came to the United States 28 years ago from Guatemala, interpreted the topics of Ricardo Arjona making clear why they say “The shade of Arjona” to him, because his stamp of voice and his style is very similar to that of the Guatemalan singer-songwriter, of whom he declares himself a fervent admirer.

Nelly.: from when did you realize that you liked singing?
Juan Carlos Molina. – I was always starting singing in my car, and one day I did it in a bar, where there was a karaoke, the people applauded me and from this moment I focused in the music.
Nelly.: why do you like the Arjona style?
J. C. Molina. - I like very much his letter, his style, I think that we have many things in common, being that it is from Guatemala, it is my idol, he is a singer that I like and who inspires me.
Nelly.: do you feel that you imitate Arjona or think that your style of singing is similar to that of Arjona or that there are two different things?
J. C. Molina. - I started 4 years ago imitating it perfectly well; when he was singing in the karaoke the people were saying to me, “you sing just as Ricardo Arjona”, and they nicknamed “the shade of Arjona” to me in the metropolitan area. But many people and my friends were saying to me, you have to look for your own style, because if not later they are going to know you as the one that imitates Ricardo Arjona, and it was there where there came to me the idea of recording this disc “Tribute to Ricardo Arjona”, with topics and writings similar to the form as Arjona interprets his songs.
Nelly. - Entonce: are you born with your own style?
J. C. Molina. - Yes, but taking Arjona as a base, since I like that the musician has sense, and being like that, I think that I already have my own style. But it is curious, when I interpret the songs they look alike to those of Arjona since my voice stamp is quite similar to of him.
Nelly.-Cuéntame on your record material...
J. C. Molina. - I was lucky to find Pablo Damián Mazzarroni, an Argentinian who does musical arrangements, we struck up a friendship for Internet and I commented to him on my desire to record an Arjona disc, so I traveled to Buenos Aires and recorded the disc with him.
Nelly.: which of all the topics do you think that it is the number one, to be promoted?
J. C. Molina. - The "Perfect" topic, I liked this song because it has an excellent message.
Nelly.: have you had the opportunity to touch the doors of some promoter or some company disquera?
J. C. Molina. - No, I am working myself in promoting the disc.
Nelly.: have you tried to interpret any other genre?
J. C. Molina. - The disc includes a topic in genre cumbia with a quartet, other in sauce, since I sing of everything a little; but I like more the romantic music.
Nelly. - For you: who is Juan Carlos Molina?
J. C. Molina. - Juan Carlos Molina is a simple, hard-working boy, who likes very much the music.
Nelly. - We are in the Month of the Hispanic Heredity: what would be your advice for the Latin Americans?
J. C. Molina. - The advice is that all the Hispanics must give a good example, let's be where we are, starting from what one does in the street, of how it acts, how he manages; it is very important to have I respect all the persons, independently of whom it is it is necessary to give the best thing of us.

This Sunday, the 11th of October, Wheaton will celebrate his second festival dedicated to the diversity of this city of the County of Montgomery, whose population is a 40 % born abroad.
“ Our principal intention is to celebrate the cultural Wheaton diversity. Last year we had nearly three thousand assistants and this year approximately five thousand " wait, said Manny Hidalgo, executive director of the Center of Latin-American Economic Development (LEDC), whose offices are located in this city.

Cox's fifth Festival, which took place on October 4, was entirely successful; approximately seven thousand persons attended to Downtown de Herndon to see his favorite artists.
The Fury Band undoubtedly was the group that obtained the biggest answer of the public at the moment of his presentation, as the Band Kaliente of Nelson Prinavo. The Peasant Javier was who warmed the ambience with his country music.
The group Sociedad Cultural Tradiciones Bolivian stood out with his impressive presentation and his wardrobe.
Cox's traditional Festival was provided, like every year, with the patronage of Washington Hispanic.

A producer of the television network CBS, accused of trying to extort David Letterman, used some pages of the newspaper of an ex-assistant of this one in which he reports a romance with the host of the program “Show Beats”, said a police official.
34-year-old Stephanie Birkitt, is employed at the program and he lived until August in the city of Norwalk in the state of Connecticut with the producer Robert Halderman.
Halderman copied pages of the newspaper of Birkitt that were containing details of his romance with Letterman and tried to use them for the extortion, affirmed the agent, who spoke in anonymous form because the investigation is in march.
During his program of last Monday, Letterman offered excuses to his wife, Regina Lasko, and said that his spouse “had been hurt terribly by my conduct”.
According to an early transcription of the program spread by CBS, the presenter promised to repair the relation with his wife and apologized to his personnel.
The CBS said that it had no comments on this matter.
