Across “The Community Square”, a novel educational program of the government of Mexico
Mexicans can certify his studies in school Carlos Rosario

With the intention of Enrique Escorza Zamudio coming to the Mexican community and Latin American of the metropolitan area, the general consul of Mexico in Washington, DC, there signed a work agreement with the Charter International school Carlos Rosario across whom it turns into the educational institution first in offering the Community Square in this region.

On the other hand, the Community Square also is an effort of solidarity of the Mexican government because not only it is free for the Mexicans who want to obtain the baccalaureate but also for all the students who are taking the course of GED, which is the equivalent of having finished the secondary school in the United States.

The Community Square offers the whole teaching material that complements the classes across the page in Internet. All the books are free and delivered by the Secretariat of Education of Mexico.

Now we are importing it to the metropolitan area of Washington thanks to this important agreement with the school Carlos Rosario”, tells consul Escorza.
Of equal way, the executive director of Carlos Rosario, Sonia Gutiérrez, it expressed his commitment with the implementation of the Community Square and showed that in the first instance there will be offered the students of GED of the school, but that it is opened for all the students who want to be educated and reach satisfactorily his studies of a free way.
Fernando Puch is of Bolivian origin and he studies the GED course in Carlos Rosario and admits that this new tool will help it in his task of reaching the course successfully.
“ I finished the school in Bolivia, but I am take the GED again because it is necessary in this country. When one looks for a work they ask you for the diploma of GED and English knowledge, that's why I am here in Carlos Rosario. The Latin Americans we need to arise and the Community Square offers us a new and important resource to study”, said the student.

The Community Square is an Internet portal of the Secretariat of Education of the government of Mexico designed for the Mexicans in the exterior that develops diverse educational programs in the primary, secondary level and the baccalaureate. After registering in line, the user will have access at the level of education that he needs and even to courses of vocational training to achieve the professional development as for example: for bartender, to repair vehicles, between other skills.

For example, the certificate of having completed the secondary school and baccalaureate as the parameter of the Mexican academic program is recognized by international agreement in El Salvador, Guatemala, Colombia, between other countries”, tells the teacher of GED of the school Carlos Rosario, Miguel Jiménez.
Until now, the Community Square has benefited for less 300 families in the metropolitan area across the experimental programs, but now he hopes that thanks to the agreement with Carlos Rosario it should reach a major number of persons.
“ Books are not the Community Square, there are no only good desires but we want that it is an element of transformation and real change for which we all are committing ourselves. I ask my compatriots to find out, this program does not cost anything, the only thing that they need is to have the desire to finish the course and this way they will be more prepared to face the life, be more productive in the work and consolidate better families”, the consul of Mexico finished.
