A fact that we cannot allow recognizing in the current governmental administration is his opening to the Hispanic press, his tallest officials, to treat icy topics that involve our community.

This is the case of the telephone press conference summoned on Tuesday, the 7th by the Department of Housing and Urban development and in that the proper Secretary (the minister) of the above mentioned briefcase, Shaun Donovan, exchanged opinions exclusively for the means written and televised in Spanish.

The dialogue took place only 24 hours after the announcement of the administration Obama on a vast national campaign against the mortgage swindlers who try to take advantage of the situation of thousands of families of Latin origin that confront the danger of seeing his impeded housings.

Donovan, since we announce in this edition, invited to the means in Spanish to spread the sure help lines to prevent the members of the Hispanic community from being victims of the unscrupulous action of the above mentioned swindlers and also to refinance successfully his credits.

Washington Hispanic accepts the invitation, like a way of preparing this type of actions that harm the members of our community. But at the same time, we believe that there is necessary a more direct and realistic action of the Department of Housing in particular and of the government in general, so that there spreads in a way as wide as possible the detailed relation of all the free and legitimate services of consultancy where the owners could come in danger of losing his housings.
