The important announcement placed finally the migratory topic in the engagement book of the current administration. It cannot make everything alone”.

And he added: "It will be very important that the community organizes itself and is mobilized, and that the Congressmen should be prepared to take the political risks that this involves. I am happy to help in the leadership of this effort, but it is not anything that will happen only because I want it”.

Undoubtedly, it is a question of a message directed to our community, so that it takes action immediately, without losing only one minute. We believe, as suggests the president, who is necessary to redouble the pressure from the sectors interested by the success of the integral migratory reform. To make use for example of the traditional summer recess of the legislators, who today are of return in his respective states, to intensify the national campaign Reforms Migratory Pro America (www.reformamigratoriaproamerica.org), and to exercise pressure on them.

The recent approval in the Senate of nominated Sonia Sotomayor, now turned in the first magistrate of Hispanic origin that the Supreme Court integrates, demonstrated that when one works thoroughly they manage to conquer many obstacles.

Sotomayor obtained in the Senate not only 58 democratic votes joined two independent ones, but achieved also the support of nine republican senators.
This is the task that it is necessary to specify, because to obtain the migratory reform also republican votes will be needed, since unfortunately there are some conservative democrats who will not support the law.
