Now when all the debates have carried out between the candidates, both of the presidency and of the vicepresidency, now yes that puts the white hot thing. At least of three weeks for the elections, the democrat Barack Obama and the republican John McCain are spending millionaire sums to manage voters. Senator Obama in particular seems to be in the television every five minutes and one hopes that it should spend up to $ 100 million dollars only in announcements of television and radio, a sum that seems that it will break records. Senator McCain, with many funds to spend, has his vice-president in practically all parts, especially in the states of major importance in this election. Recently I had the opportunity to travel round one of the parts from the country where everything is in game: the half west, which includes the states of Michigan, Illinois and Ohio, between others. There is big worry for the current economic situation, and many people have lost his works. It seems that every minute there is an Obama TV/radio commercial trying to link his rival McCain with the president Bush and what the democrats insist it is in the frustrated politics of the current president. Nevertheless, something of skepticism is still seen towards the democratic candidate, and several persons say that they do not think to vote for the democrat, although they agree with his politics. Several announcements, T-shirts and transfers are even observed criticizing Obama and putting in judgment cloth his candidacy for the mere fact of being of African American origin. A T-shirt that I saw several times was saying:“ it hears, is called the WHITE House”. Obviously one has spoken as if the topic of the race could play a role in this contest, but out of the big metropolises of the country, it is a much more present and much more open topic. The people do not walk on the street openly saying that they would not vote for Obama because it is African American, but when the topic goes out in conversations, there are persons who do not have absolutely any problem in saying that Obama should forget to be provided with his vote. And this, it departs from voters who identify like democrats. In a recent meeting of trade union in Ohio, the leaders him were pressing to the concourse that will vote for the democrat in November, but some of them went out of the meeting saying that not, that not even madmen. In the state of Michigan, a not identified group made to circulate a CD in all the hearths across the state – where the population lives in the United States more numerous than original persons of the Middle East – trying to link Obama with terrorists. There are still many people who believes that Obama is a Muslim however much others say that not, and simply they are not going to vote for him. The polite, prepared people, with good works they speak of being "convinced" that so prompt Obama is a president, it will "deliver" the country to his "friends" and “family“ of Muslims and terrorists. McCain correctly has said that these declarations do not do good to him anybody, but there are the people who believes what he wants to believe.
This election has already done history with the first African American candidate of the democratic party and the first candidate for the vicepresidency of the republican party. It is lacking to see if also it will do history with the vote of those who do not pay any attention to the history.
