Many people had wanted that from a beginning the White House had been severer with the companies at the edge of the failure.

Simultaneously that the president Obama tries to convince to the country and to the world that his plan to help to recover the current weak economy will take time but it will work, the numbers of unemployment between the Latin community are quite discouraging, and partly it is due to the fact that the industries affected by the economic crisis are the same where there is very much Hispanic worker: the construction and the work places in the service industry.

According to the most recent numbers of the federal government, the unemployment valuation between Hispanics promotes little more than 10 per cent. Or, one of the ten Hispanics in the country is without work compared with 7 per cent between Anglo-Saxons.

The administration Obama says that it is doing all the possible to help the neediest people, but it is still trying to recover of the strong criticism for not having done the sufficient thing in order to prepare the bonds payment to personnel of companies that received governmental assistance to try to assure that they should not go to the failure. Many people wonder: how is it that some persons receive bonds when his companies are at the edge of the failure?, and he had wanted that the White House had been severer from a beginning. But this governmental assistance to these companies could not have happened without the guarantee of the Congress, and it is deplorable the fact that they approved to "rescue" the companies without absolutely any accounting of adónde exactly the funds were going and why. And now they put themselves in line to speak before the camerawomen of the fury who feel.

Meanwhile, it continues the discussion on the topic of the migratory reform, with the State Department Hillary Clinton saying in the Mexico City that the president Obama is compromised to assure a migratory reform, and that he would look for changes in the next months. Clinton made the comments during a recent visit to the capital of Mexico and to the frontier city of Monterrey, and one hopes that the president Obama should speak about the topic when it meets his Mexican counterpart Felipe Calderón the next month in Mexico. It is “a high priority” for the administration, made sure Clinton.

There is nothing that indicates the opposite, but what it is necessary to bear in mind – as it has been said in previous occasions in this space - the fact is that it is lacking to see the commitment of the federal Congress. The president can be super compromised, but if the congressional leadership does not do anything, nothing is going to happen. Till now, there is nothing that it indicates that there is this priority in the Congress.
