Across an interdisciplinary work that tries to evoke and rescue the real meanings of cultural identity, tradition and nationality; two actresses give life to “Children of the limbo”, a production that takes as a target to produce homage to the multiculturalism and to the process of assimilation in the United States. How difficult it can be for an immigrant, that it leaves his 'world', adapt itself to a new life where the memories and the traditions, which keep his ethnic extract latent, are always being about his lives.
With music, dance, singing and the use of the language, the creators and actresses Gabriela Fernandez-Coffey and Mariana Osorio, whom The Buxom women shape, raise the difficult one, but pleasant sensation of being a part of a culture and set of traditions that stay alive across the spatial distances and also temporary.
“ Children of the Limbo” it is a spectacle for all the ages, so much for the youth, who will be the protagonists of the next wave of cultural identity, and for the adults who preserve with big rooting the culture and heredity brought in his minds and in his hearts of his fatherlands. To know where from we are and where we go is one of the points fix in this work that across the music transports us to the different worlds.
“ When these physical actions they work, an activation of the memory is achieved”, he notices Fernández-Coffey.
