The Guaraguao will be in tour along 5 cities of the United States, to delight his followers and like part of the historical memory of El Salvador and of Latin America, prestigious East group presents in Washington DC next Friday, the 12th of February in the Boys and Girls Club, of Hyattsville, Maryland to himself, and on Saturday, the 13th of February in Kena Templa, of Fairfax, in Virginia.
The original interpreters of "The house of pasteboard" are not only Venezuelans, they are more Salvadoran than any Guanaco, they are more Guatemalan than any Guatemalan, they are more Nicaraguan than any Nicoya.
The Central American community remembers the repertoire of the group for the years '70 and '80, epoch in which his music was "vetoed" literally in El Salvador. Even one gave dead to them.
Pero Los Guaraguao they are alive, and celebrate his 36 years of artistic life; the one that síi died in a car accident was one of his members, Ali Primera, the author, poet and founder.
Ali, composer of several of the songs of The Guaraguao, was the author of the hit dedicated to the Salvadoran people "The Blue Hat", topic interpreted by a singers' endless number in Latin America, as his big success "Houses of Pasteboard", which in Mexico was popularized by the already missing musical group Bukis.
The Guaraguao are integrated by Eduardo Martinez (vocalist), Jesus Cordero (the second vocalist and under), José Guerra (third vocalist and baterista) and Luis Suárez (guitarist, mandolinista and tecladista).
Between the most recent musical successes of The Guaraguao they are "Proud to be a Salvadoran", "those who die for the life", "Companion", and "Everything is for Love", the latter song devoted to already died Schafik Handal, maximum leader of the Front Farabundo Marti for the National Liberation (FMLN), of El Salvador.
