There always attracted attention of the local painter Marianne Moreno the tradition of the painting like Mexican political declaration, especially the represented one by big artists of the size of David Alfaro Siqueiros, Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo and José Clemente Orozco.
His beginnings in the painting were shy, but an anecdote reflects like the political topics they ended up convincing her to devote himself completely to this art. “Some years ago I did an exhibition in a small Bethesda coffee, and there I exhibited a painting in which, on an intense red fund, the figure of a soldier is seen being handled like a marionette by a hand. To a few days they called me of the place to say to me that it had to extract the painting because there had been claims in his against. This was the epoch of the invasion to Iraq and although at first it was surprised, I thought that in the end it was something good because he was provoking the people to think”, says Dark-haired person.
Although his painting today is less politics, Dark-haired person has combined it with the popular culture to communicate his message. “I did a series of paintings based on the famous front of the magazine Rolling Stone in which Yoko Ono and John Lennon appear, in that I use primary colors. I love this image and for me it represents much more than the romantic love. He wanted to paint something that was two-party, since it was the epoch of the elections. I realized that, so that the country advances, we must work with both parties. In fact one is called “a Two-party Love” and all other go out hence”.
Dark-haired person grew in Dallas, Texas, city to which it came after living his first eight years in Mexico. Today, to his 28, he prepares himself to set off in the direction of Florence, Italy, where he will study for one year “to improve the skill”, says Dark-haired person.
His artistic evolution has led her to communicating a positive message, across living colors and simple lines, like the series called Picassa, in which a face is represented in different colors and forms.
“ My style today is brilliant and coloring. I have a series of faces that are like a self-portrait in several dimensions. The idea behind is that we are changing constantly. Although there is something of me in each of these paintings, they represent also a perpetual mutation. Hence the game with the colors and the expressions”, says Dark-haired person.
The painter has strained in supporting a fresh style and, for lack of a better word, frolicsome fellow. “I like the brilliant colors because they are full of life and for me the life consists of seeing it as the children do it, to try not to lose this dimension of one himself. I believe that sometimes we take too seriously. My painting looks of some way of supporting this perspective”, he tells.

With regard to his relation with DC, Dark-haired person points out that this city has always fascinated him, hence his interest with the politics and the art. “Not very well how to explain it, but has Washington DC always attracted me in energy terms. There are so many things that happen here. When I came while it was studying the secondary one, I perceived this sensation and for the same I applied to all the possible universities in DC, not porqué but he knew that he needed to be here. For the same, I remained after studying in the University of Georgetown. I like the city because there is art, culture and politics, and although there are the people who says to me that I must be in New York or Miami, I believe that there are many opportunities here for the artists”, supports Dark-haired person.
On the same, Dark-haired person has been invited to exhibit in the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the University of Georgetown and in next October it will take part in an event of the organization SPRING.
