The writer and Peruvian journalist, Hemil García Linares did not find better way to express his experiences in his native country and in the United States that bringing together them in a selection of stories where it outcrops his experiences, but also his skill with the pen.
This way García Linares manages to present his first titled book “Stories of the North, Histories of the South”, which had big reception in Peru and that now is at the disposal of the lovers of the literature in the United States and of those who want to explore feeling, the worries and the thousand and fortunes of the immigrant. To come, to be established and to get accustomed to a new country, and hence to a new system, is not easy and García Linares manages to describe with nice anecdotes how the life is in his country and how they pass the days for these grounds of the north.
“ It is a book with raw histories, that although they are not real, they can go so far as to coincide with the daily life”, tells Hemil García Linares. Topics as the discrimination, the violence, the racism, the poverty, and on the other hand, the hard experience of the immigrants in the United States are the present ingredients in Stories of North, Histories of the South.
García Linares has published articles in the newspaper Commerce (Peru) and in Latin newspapers in the United States and there has been finalist of the International Contest of Stories Junín a Country 2008 (Argentina).
García Linares takes root in the USA from 2000 and at present it takes classes of literature in Northern Virginia Community College and works like publisher of the magazine Latin Roots.
The presentation of Hemil García Linares will be realized on Saturday, the 1st of August at 4 a.m. pm. in the Hotel Residence Inn Marriott Fair Lakes, located in 12815 Fair Lakes Parkway, Fairfax, IT GOES, 22033. The comments will be responsible for the poet Mayamérica Cortez y Dahlia Aguilar, who is a master's degree in education.
