An ambitious energy strategy started the government, consistent in stimulating the manufacture of motorcars of high efficiency in the consumption of fuel, of at least 35 miles for gallon. The manufacturers Ford Motor Co., with 5.900 million dollars, Nissan Motor Co. and Tesla Motors Inc., with another 2.100 million dollars for both, there turned into the first companies beneficiaries of a fund of the government for the sum of 25.000 million dollars destined to develop vehicles of efficient consumption.
The Secretary of Energy, Steven Chu, announced the credits in the Research center and Ford's Innovation, in Dearborn (Michigan).
The credits that Ford receives will help him to improve his factories in five states – Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri and Ohio - in order 13 models high produce efficiency in the consumption. The program of electrical vehicles of Ford will yield his first fruits with a variant to batteries of Transit Connect in the year 2010. Part of this money also will be used in renewing his Wayne's plant, Michigan, where the next generation of the Focus will be made of versions electricity company and to gasoline.

Nissan for his part, received 1.600 millions to re-equip his Smyrna plant, in Tenesí, destined to produce vehicles of advanced design and to construct a plant that produces batteries.
Tesla, manufacturer of San Carlos (California) will receive 465 millions in credits in order to construct vehicles and electrical engines in the above mentioned state. A sum that can look like a kidling compared to the rest, but that is of a very considerable quantity given the dimensions of the signature. With this money Tesla it will complete the development and the production of Model S, which even might be realized in some of the factories recently closed as a consequence of the crisis. The McDonnell-Douglas facilities sound strongly in Long Beach, although, certainly, Elon Musk and company have many options to choose.
The credits were designed so that the motorcars manufacturers reach the new norms of consumption of fuel of at least 35 miles for gallon for 2020, an increase of 40 per cent on the current norms.

The Toyota shareholders approved in unanimous form the designation of Akio Toyoda, grandson of the founder of the company, like new president of the self-propelled Japanese, in the middle of the most serious crisis of his history.
More than 3.300 shareholders fulfilled a lounge of the head office of Toyota Motor Corp., on Tuesday, the 23rd, in an assistance without precedents, and they chose for acclamation the new 29 directors, between them to Toyoda.
Toyoda faces the arduous task of re-stimulating the principal manufacturer of motorcars of the world, which has lost 4.600 million dollars during the tax year until March, his worst descent since it was founded in 1937. The company foresees an even major loss this year.
Toyoda, of 53 years, assumed formally the president's charge some hours later in a meeting of directory, announced the company in a declaration. It replaces Katsuaki Watanabe, who presided at the meeting with the shareholders in this central city of the Japan that takes the same name of the corporation. The Mazda 3 has received a surprising redesign for 2010, making it even more competitive.
This compact Mazda sedan distinguishes from his archirrivales, like Toyota Corolla and the Sling Civic, for his agile and sports personality, a more entertaining experience of handling and a quality of top construction.
I have to confess to them that the Mazda 3, like also his predecessor the Protege, my favorite compact sedans have been for many years. Eight teams of Formula one promised to reduce his expenses in 25 per cent in the next two years like part of his agreement achieved to the last minute, with the governing organism of the world motoring to avoid the creation of a parallel series.
The secession was avoided then that the president of the International Federation of Motoring (ENTRUST), Max Mosley, discarded on Wednesday, the 24th of June the implementation of a voluntary budgetary limit for 2010 and on the other hand it expressed an order to reduce the costs of the Formula one at the beginning levels of ‘90.
“ We are going to keep on working like teams and manufacturers to reduce costs, as we have done it with the engines and the transmissions. Our goal is in two years to come to the costs that we had to beginning of ‘90”, he affirmed THAT Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, who headed the negotiations with GIVES CREDIT, after a meeting of the Association of Teams of Formula 1 (FOTA) in Bologna.
“ We want to save other 15 to 25 per cent for 2011. For the big and small teams it is important to think about the balance between costs and profit”, it added I gave Montezemolo.
FOTA – that also includes McLaren, BMW Sauber, Renault, Toyota, Network Bull, Bull Rosso and Brawn GP - had already implemented saving measurements this period in the middle of the world economic crisis.
The measurements include a restriction to the tests during the period and to the use of the wind tunnel.
“ We will see more savings in the next periods”, made sure the director of Network Bull, Christian Horner.
The chief of McLaren, Martin Whitmarsh, hopes that the union of the teams should help to make sure that the Formula one should prosper in the future.
“ In every year that I have involved with the Formula one, it had never seen an agreement between all the teams”, continued Whitmarsh. “There is a commitment to be employed at the part of the entertainment, at the spectacle, and that is a big sport”, it concluded.
