The work and the effort of the elementary school Broad Acres in the county of Montgomery has demonstrated that when the things are done hotly, neither the poverty nor the absence of resources are barriers that prevent from reaching the academic success.

The educational center is considered that the poorest of the county with a student population where almost 65 per cent are of Hispanic origin and 90 per cent is of the whole of the pupils is below the poverty levels. In spite of his financial limitations, practically like a "miracle", his students have reached the academic success in 85 per cent which is sustained by the results in the last examinations that the government demands to measure the academic progresses.

For this reason, the Foundation of Hispanic Businessmen, led by Henry Aldana, decided to support the management of the school Broad Acres and there created the foundation “The Miracle of the Children” (CMF, for his initials in English) whose mission will be to support with economic resources to schools with a minority population, but who presents signs of wanting to go out forward.

“ When we listen to the challenges of the school Board Acres and of what they had achieved in spite of his economic limitations we decide like Hispanic businessmen to commit ourselves with our future generations and contribute our community”, it pointed out Washington Hispanic, Henry Aldana, president of the CMF.

“É sta is the first school, but our target is to be able to help to other schools with similar profiles in the metropolitan area, but at the same time compromise more Hispanic businessmen who share our philosophy of returning to our community part of what we have achieved”, added the owner of Henry Aldana y Associates.

As part of the beginning of the campaign of collection of funds for the foundation, three companies joined to deliver a donation for 1.700 dollars to the school Broad Acres. These companies are Henry Aldana y Associates, Cardinal National Companies LLC and Aquas Inc.

The money will be used to offer scholarships to the students and this way be able to inform of activities extra curriculares, admit the teachers, celebrate graduation ceremonies, as well as implement programs to involve more the family parents.

“ We have pupils who sometimes cannot pay five dollars to take part of an excursion and this fund is going to help us. Also, we are not provided with budget to entertain our teachers during the Week of Recognition to the Teacher and now yes we will do it because really it is deserved”, it expressed to Washington Hispanic, Luis San Sebastian, assistant of the director of the school Broad Acres, Michael Bayewitz.

Henry Aldana does called other businessmen like him so that they join this campaign and collaborate with the education of the children who more need.

After freeing for space of eight years a hard battle against the cancer, the well-known sports commentator, Danilo Noel Dirón, died at the age of 63, last Friday, the 10th of October at 7:18 p.m.


Danilo Noel Dirón, of Uruguayan nationality, is survived by his wife Teresa and his daughters Lorraine and Paula.

In life, Danilo got out of debt like sales manager of already eliminated Radio Borinquen 900 AM, for 10 years, and from 1997 America was employed at the same position in Radio 1540 AM, managing like principal characteristic to turn into friend of his clients.

Danilo developed a big friendship with Alejandro Carrasco, owner of Radio America, who according to his declarations refuses to assimilate his death.

To the news about his game, thousands of persons showed his deep sorrow and expressed the fondness that they were professing.

“This crisis is like the Big Depression”

Paul Krugman, a teacher of the University of Princeton, journalist of the newspaper New York Steal and an imperturbable liberal, gained the Economy Nobel Prize for his analysis of how the economies of scale can affect the international trade models.

"What are the effects of the free trade and of the globalization? What are the forces that impel the urban development on a global scale? Paul Krugman has formulated a new theory to answer to these questions", he told the Swedish Academy in his mention.
