“ It was an agreeable conversation, for space of 15 minutes, but I liked that the president Obama, with his tight agenda and with the challenges that it is facing, has had the time to call from the White House”, mentioned Funes in a prey conference the same day.
Also, it revealed that Obama said to him that it had been attentive to the Salvadoran electoral process and that from the beginning his administration defined “a position of neutrality and of respect for the results”.
Also it expressed to him his desire to be seen personally with Funes in the next Summit of the Americas, which will be realized in Trinidad and Tobago from April 17 until April 19.

Luis Reyes businessman and member of the organization“ Friends of Mauritius” in DC
We let's believe a commission that traveled to El Salvador to explain to the population of whom they were not afraid to Mauritius and to the change, because it was a question of a sure change, of hope and of justice. Now when we have won, it has us to work together, for the good of our country, does not import if we are of a party or of other, to support the new government”
Iván Graciano Comunicaciones Of The FMLN, in DC
“One of the changes for that he would ask Mauricio Funes is that we generate a government of national unit, which allows us to govern for all. That takes the decisions with knowledge, well thought-out and trying to be of benefit to those who voted for the FMLN and to those who did not vote for our party. Namely to have a country vision”.
WITH THE VISION OF THE VICTORY

TWO POLEMICS
In a televised interview, after his electoral victory, Mauricio Funes answered this way to two polemic questions:
1.-Who contributed him more to the victory? Funes to the FMLN or FMLN to Funes?
“ It is a symbiosis. The FMLN obtained a little more than 900 thousand votes in the municipal election. In this election I have obtained more than 1,3 million votes. It does not mean that the FMLN reached port more to my candidacy or less. We bet both on the democratic process of the country”.
2.-One is going to align the “model bolivariano”?
“ The Salvadoran left has its own identity and circumstance. He must aspire to the demand and the aspirations of the Salvadoran people. It does not have why to line up to the revolution bolivariana, who answers to the characteristics of Venezuela. El Salvador is going to line up to the Salvadoran needs”.

The governor Bill Richardson signed on Wednesday, the 18th of March the legislation to annul the death penalty in New Mexico, and said that this has been the most difficult “decision” that it has taken in his political trajectory.
The initiative replaces the judgment to death with a lethal injection, for a life imprisonment without possibilities of conditional freedom.
“ Opposite to this reality of which our system can never be perfect, on having imposed the death penalty, my conscience leads me to replacing it with a solution that keeps the society sure”, said the democratic governor of Mexican origin, during a press conference in the head office of the Legislative state one.
The inhabitants of New Mexico will be surer with the imposition of the immutable life imprisonment, because the worst criminals “they will never go out of prison”, he made sure.
New Mexico is scarcely the second state that prohibits the executions after the Supreme Court returned the capital punishment in 1976. It joined another 14 states that do not contemplate the capital punishment.
New Mexico has executed nine prisoners from 1933.
