Funes changes political course in El Salvador

Analysts indicated that the relations with the United States cover a special importance for El Salvador, considering more than two million Salvadorans who reside in American territory, many undocumented persons.

They send annually more than 3.700 million dollars in familiar remittances.

Funes, on the other hand, moved forward that his country will restore diplomatic relations with Cuba. On Wednesday, the 17th, the president of Costa Rica, Oscar Arias, announced “the sovereign decision” of his country to restore relate with Cuba, which they were broken from 1961, when the island was expelled from the Organization of the American States (OEA).

At present 47-year-old, Tom P�rez democratic and expert in civil rights is the Secretary of Work, Licenses and Regulations of the state of Maryland and along his career it has been characterized for defending the justice and the labor law.
P�rez was selected like one of 24 young American political leaders with major future of the whole country and apparently it is demonstrating it.
This news was taken with approval the organizations that defend the rights of the Hispanic and immigrant communities like NALEO, The Race, LULAC and the Caucus Hispano of the Congress.
