With a physiognomy very different from the images showed previously, the recluse Ingmar Guandique was extradited from a federal prison of California and he brought on Wednesday, the 22nd to the District of Columbia (DC), for his indictment.

The accused showed a big tattoo in the frontal part of the neck, with the inscription “Crowd Salvatrucha”, the name of one of the most bloody criminal bands that act in Central America and in American soil. In accordance with the details known until now, several prison partners declared that Guandique was boasting repeatedly on how it had taken possession of a beautiful woman of curled hair – seemingly Chandra Levy - which then outraged it with the help of two adolescents. Immediately afterwards it strangulated it.
The disappearance of the woman, in May, 2001, caused an intense search, while the suspicions were speaking to the democratic conferee Gary Condit, a married man who had to confess that it had supported sexual relations with Levy. This meant his defeat in the legislative elections and his later disappearance of the political stage.
One hopes that Guandique, who was in prison for another two cases of attack in women, carried out in dates near to the disappearance of Levy and in the same park, should break his hermetic silence during the judicial process.
His defense alleges that there was “a defective investigation” and “lacking in evidences”.

The Kellermann death is the most recent of a series suddenly for Freddie Mac, who possesses or 13 guarantees approximately millions of dollars in loans for housing and is the second company of real estate finance after Fannie Mae.
Freddie Mac has been criticized hard by what it has been seen like imprudent commercial practices, which some of them support they contributed to the financial crisis and of the market of the housing in the United States.

The author of the threats to HOUSE of Maryland, done in the middle of 2008 and in those that he warned about explosive offenses and even of death to officials of the organization, apologized publicly for his acts on Wednesday, the 22nd.
Wesley James Queen II attributed his actions having been present at a meeting of “republicans“, in which supposedly there was rhetoric antinmigrante and racist. Also, it added to the causes having stopped taking his medicines as a psychiatric condition that was not announced.
“ I am here to apologize publicly to HOUSE, to his personnel and to the community for the threats that I did. The combination of stress and weariness, to have stopped taking my medicines and my assistance to a republicans' meeting led me to doing these called phone companhies. I understand now, after my meeting with the victims, that these calls not only affected individuals but also his families. In my future work with HOUSE I will make sure that errors as this one should never happen again. I will continue with my psychiatric treatment, with my medicine, and will surrender to classes of control of temperament and of cultural competition with the consultancy of HOUSE and with voluntary work in the center of employment of HOUSE in Baltimore. Also I am writing a letter apologizing to the episcopal archdiocese of Washington to which also I called. In the end, in July, I will get judgment of this crime for that I pled guilty. I hope that every person who has been affected should accept my excuses”, said Queen.
Reverend Simón Bautista was the manager of accepting the Queen excuses. “We celebrate his valor of accepting that it committed an error. HOUSE believes in the conciliation and in the sanación, and this community needs many sanación”, said the prelate.
Carrie O'Brien, who handles the legal HOUSE program, said that then that the police identified Queen as the author of the threats, which were done on May 18, 2008, the institution decided to approach in order to initiate a pardon process. “Last two months we have had several meetings trying to look for a justice restaurativa rather than coercive”, supported O'Brien.

On July 2 Queen will get judgment for his threats, which found out will be minor to 18 months of jail. Later, Queen will do the voluntariado with HOUSE.

One of the most prominent corners of the Spanish gastronomy in Washington has just fulfilled 20 years.
The famous Bar of the Halberdier, property of the Group Lezama and located in the street 18 with the Ist, in Washington DC, it celebrated with property his two decades of hakes with green sauce, tripe to the of Madrid one and wines of character that have added up to the culinary offer that offers the city.
But few ones know that the bar was caused by a priest, the father Luis Lezama, who conceived the idea of creating a gastronomic place of the first level that was devoting itself to classic recipes of Spanish meal. Like that was born the first bar in Madrid, in 1974.
I count shortly, his first restaurant was successful that had the opportunity to open one more pair in different leases of Spain.
Then, in 1989, the Spanish Secretariat of Commerce him approached with the idea of opening a restaurant of the same type in the capital of the United States.
The rest is a history.
With his two decades in Washington, the father Lezama has seen changing the city, which he recognizes is one of his favorite places.
“ Washington was much less cosmopolitan in this epoch in spite of being a capital. But with the time there have come many offices that earlier were in New York, the lobistas have increased and the city has taken a more international character. In Washington I feel very at ease, it is a city that I adore and it is very cozy”, he says.
Lezama has been a journalist, a writer, restorer, businessman and certainly priest, since now he practises in the Parish of Santa Maria Blanca in Montecarmelo, Madrid.
The interesting of his person is that it has a different perspective to be a businessman. But eye, in these times in which the capitalism is hardly questioned, Lezama does not meet like capitalist in the absolute thing, in spite of having conceived a managerial group that, in 2006, invoiced 15 million euros.
“ I am not considered to be a capitalist because I have anything in property. Everything is in property of a foundation that brings the people with whom it works and the public. I have not bought to myself an apartment, have a farm, neither a yacht, nor a personal caprice and use revenue cars. This is one of the successes of our company, to have developed everlasting the value of the human capital and to have re-invested in these facilities that are seen and in these people who has face and word. And finally in something that for us has been a leit motiv that is the innovation”, says the priest.
In spite of everything, the Lezama excellent thing his emphasis is exactly in creating groups of work that are not seen only in productivity terms, but like worthy persons who raise the value of an organization. “We do not grow according to the business that present you but in function to the human teams that you create. Here one thinks about values and persons. In other organizations the box is checked and only the profitability of the person who works. Here we are according to the ideas”, it concludes.
