In only days, the vine of the influenza A/H1N1, more known as porcine flu, has caused hundreds of infected in Mexico and one has extended from this country Europe, Oceania and the Middle East.
Up to the closing of this edition, in the USA the official numbers were counting at least 120 cases in the states of New York, Texas, California, South Carolina and Delaware.
Also dispersed contagions have registered in Arizona, Indiana, Kansas, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, Ohio, Minnesota, Colorado, Georgia and Maine.
In the local plane, Maryland is counted with eight suspicious cases, in the counties of Montgomery, by Anne Arundel and Baltimore, but the condition of the patients is not serious. In Virginia there were confirmed two cases, one in the center of the state and other in the East.
At the same time, the World Bank reported on Thursday, the 30th that one of his personnel has been preliminarmente diagnosed with porcine fever and it would have been contagious in a trip to Mexico, but it is already completely convalescent. Also they informed that a member of the team of Barack Obama was contagious in the trip of the President to Mexico, and one believes that his family also has been infected. Doctor Anne Schuchat of the CDC said that till now most of the American cases recover.

Being anticipated to the march of immigrants organized by several community organizations on the evening of this Friday on the first of May opposite to the White House, the president Barack Obama announced publicly that the process of migratory reform “is already in march” in this one his first year of government.
In a press conference that it offered the night of Wednesday, the 30th and that was transmitted by a national chain of radio and television after there were fulfilled the first 100 days of his administration, Obama not only stressed that “the process is already in march”, but he added that “we will do it as quickly as it is possible”. In the middle of feverish arrangements of the march of immigrants organized by a coalition of community organizations, the executive director of HOUSE of Maryland, Gustavo Torres, announced that this 1st Friday. of May there begins a campaign of massive declarations and of mailing of electronic messages to the legislators of the Acropolis from the whole country.

He added that at the end of the march, in the White House, “we will do delivery of several documents and cards that we are sending to the president and to the first lady”. Also, “there will be delivered the study that we did with nearly 40 organizations of the whole country, where we describe what are the topics and the beginning that are not negotiable in the migratory reform”.
The activist revealed that two weeks ago, the two most powerful trade union confederacies of the country signed an agreement, “to fight for the migratory reform, because they have million immigrants and undocumented persons in his lines”.
“ So that the economy of the nation gets up it is urgent that the migratory reform passes, because this way it goes to place trust in the immigrants, of whom they can invest in the economy, whom can buy houses and whom are going to deport them to us, whom can work worthily here and open his bank accounts”, it concluded.

The elect president of El Salvador, Mauricio Funes, affirmed during a forum in the World Bank (BM), in Washington DC, that the global financial crisis “has been constituted in the principal risk for the democracy, for his effects in the poverty, the exclusion, and the deepening of the social breach”.
“ If it is not operated on time – he warned - it can mean an increase in the crime and a deterioration of the democratic governance in Central America”.
It pointed out as particularly delicate the situation of El Salvador, that it is already between the countries with higher crime of the world with 67 murders for every 100.000 inhabitants or an average of up to 12 murders per day.
He said that Latin America was faced to the risk of losing not only the achievements reached in the last decades but also of stepping back dangerously in terms of the political and social stability.
Funes, who was a television journalist up to his election, said that the tragedy of the region was that it was “opposite to a crisis that it did not provoke”.
Also, he thought that the global economic crisis was not of for itself the biggest problem that has the region but rather the aptitude to demonstrate that it can act in a joint way to face it.
Also it supported that the international community and his organisms should assume like fundamental beginning of his actions the concepts of “joint responsibility and solidarity” with the nations affected by the global financial crisis.
“ This crisis – he said - it was provoked by the irresponsibility of some businessmen that preferred his personal interests to those of all the rest”.
He added that the absence of regulation joined this situation in the developed economies, and a weak economic handling on behalf of his respective governments.
The presentation of Funes, who will assume the control of his country on June 1, happened on Friday, the 24th, during a so called forum “Latin America and the Global Crisis”, organized by the World Bank. There it took part in the programmed activities this weekend the joint assembly of governors of the BM and of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
His oration was much waited on having talked each other of the first candidate who gained the last elections in El Salvador representing the leftist departed Front Farabundo Mart� for the National Liberation (FMLN). Two adolescents of the secondary school Springbrook – located in the field of Silver Spring of the County of Montgomery - were accused of arson, conspiracy to commit murder, in a supposed conspiracy to murder the director of the educational cadre with a bomb full of nails and then to provoke an explosion and fire inside the school, they revealed the police authorities.
The students are 17-year-old Anthony Nelson Torrence, and 18-year-old Yonata Getachew, both of the grade 11, suspects of having caused three fires in the school, one week before the discovery of the offense, produced on Tuesday, the 28th, that he led to his detentions, made sure the police.
According to the police, the above mentioned pupils were calling to the plan “In the next future”, which took as a target to throw a bomb in the office of the director and to perforate gas tubes in the auditorium of the school where they would use an incendiary device to provoke an explosion.
The chief of the department of police officer of Montgomery, J. Thomas Manger, confirmed that “the students really had the intention of doing it”.
They had constructed incendiary devices and – according to the investigation - one believes that they had planned the fire in the last four weeks, in that they had foreseen to commit an outrage against the life of the director of the school, to provoke a fire in the school using explosive material and to cause big damages and serious wounds to other persons.
The detectives obtained a police search order for Getachew in his residence located in 11500 of Sutherland Hill Way, and in that of Torrence, located in the block 13500 of Greencastle Ridge Terrace, Silver Spring. The motive of his plans and actions keeps on being an investigation object.
Due to his participation in this plan, Getachew and Torrence will be accused like adult for conspiracy of committing attempt of murder in the first grade, conspiracy to make or to possess a destructive appliance, three charges of arson.

Chrysler declares himself in bankruptcy

Chrysler LLC declared himself on Thursday, the 30th in bankruptcy under protection of creditors and announced that it will suspend temporarily most of his production of vehicles while it completes an agreement with the self-propelled Italian Fiat.
The White House was hoping to be able to have avoided the Chrysler bankruptcy, but the negotiations with the funds of high risk that possess most of his debt failed during the night. The creditors do not want to do any more authorizations to reduce 6.900 million dollars of debts to real guarantee contracted by Chrysler. The bankruptcy will allow to a judge to decide the quantity that the creditors will get for his loans.
In bankruptcy, Chrysler will produce motorcars and the government will endorse his guarantee. Still, Chrysler announced the same Thursday that will suspend temporarily the production in almost all his plants.
After the exit of the bankruptcy, the company will be a property of the trade union United Auto Workers, the American government and Fiat. The governments of Canada and the province of Ontario, which they contributed to the financing, they will have minority shares.
At last and with the time Fiat might still end up by being the majority shareholder.
The president Barack Obama said that Chrysler Financial, the financial arm of the company that turns credits to buyers and distributors to finance his inventories, will be fused by GMAC Financial Services, once the financial arm of General Motors Corp. New GMAC will receive governmental support and the number of distributors of Chrysler will be the same way limited.
General manager Chrysler Robert Nardelli will leave the charge once the company goes out of the bankruptcy, after almost two years of leadership in which the sales fell down in stung due to the recession.

One of the most prominent corners of the Spanish gastronomy in Washington has just fulfilled 20 years.
The famous Bar of the Halberdier, property of the Group Lezama and located in the street 18 with the Ist, in Washington DC, it celebrated with property his two decades of hakes with green sauce, tripe to the of Madrid one and wines of character that have added up to the culinary offer that offers the city.
But few ones know that the bar was caused by a priest, the father Luis Lezama, who conceived the idea of creating a gastronomic place of the first level that was devoting itself to classic recipes of Spanish meal. Like that was born the first bar in Madrid, in 1974.
I count shortly, his first restaurant was successful that had the opportunity to open one more pair in different leases of Spain.
Then, in 1989, the Spanish Secretariat of Commerce him approached with the idea of opening a restaurant of the same type in the capital of the United States.
The rest is a history.
With his two decades in Washington, the father Lezama has seen changing the city, which he recognizes is one of his favorite places.
“ Washington was much less cosmopolitan in this epoch in spite of being a capital. But with the time there have come many offices that earlier were in New York, the lobistas have increased and the city has taken a more international character. In Washington I feel very at ease, it is a city that I adore and it is very cozy”, he says.
Lezama has been a journalist, a writer, restorer, businessman and certainly priest, since now he practises in the Parish of Santa Maria Blanca in Montecarmelo, Madrid.
The interesting of his person is that it has a different perspective to be a businessman. But eye, in these times in which the capitalism is hardly questioned, Lezama does not meet like capitalist in the absolute thing, in spite of having conceived a managerial group that, in 2006, invoiced 15 million euros.
“ I am not considered to be a capitalist because I have anything in property. Everything is in property of a foundation that brings the people with whom it works and the public. I have not bought to myself an apartment, have a farm, neither a yacht, nor a personal caprice and use revenue cars. This is one of the successes of our company, to have developed everlasting the value of the human capital and to have re-invested in these facilities that are seen and in these people who has face and word. And finally in something that for us has been a leit motiv that is the innovation”, says the priest.
In spite of everything, the Lezama excellent thing his emphasis is exactly in creating groups of work that are not seen only in productivity terms, but like worthy persons who raise the value of an organization. “We do not grow according to the business that present you but in function to the human teams that you create. Here one thinks about values and persons. In other organizations the box is checked and only the profitability of the person who works. Here we are according to the ideas”, it concludes.
