With his characteristic enthusiasm and hoarse voice, the democratic legislator Luis Gutiérrez, affirmed in a speech pronounced on Tuesday, the 21st that “soon we are going to have the integral migratory reform, of that they have not left the minor doubt”.
His words were said before numerous Hispanic leaders, that there joined a group of bartenders and cooks who were finishing of graduating in the first course on Culinary Arts and Services of Attention protected by the organization “My Earth Market”, with the support of the International Fund for the Migrants' Development (FIDMi).

Other speeches during the Gala were in charge of the president founder and CEO of FIDMi, Albino Nitza Segui; of the ambassador of Dominican Republic before the White House, Roberto Saladin; of Mercedes Lemp, director of the office of the mayor of DC on Latin Matters; Manuel Orozco, the director of the Program of Remittances and Development of FIDMi; and Helen Suárez, chief of Special Programs.
In his gratitude words, Gutiérrez did a wide inventory of his life, like son of Dominican immigrants, and remembered that his parents came to the United States in 1952, “to a strange country for them”, to live “in a segregated and poor quarter, but where we had the force of the community”.
“ My mother was getting up at 5 a.m. to work and was coming in the evening with the burned fingers, while my father was working in the nights so that that way some of them was along with us, his children”, he recalled.
“ They are million immigrants those who have lived and keep on living through this experience”, it added.
Also, he remembered that there are twelve million undocumented persons who still live in the shades, “but also there are four million born children here, many of which see his parents who are deported for having no documents”.
“ The president Obama – he said then - came to the power because a lot of of us, the Hispanics, we exercised our right and voted for him, and Obama gave his commitment to initiate an integral migratory reform during the first year of his government”.

Under the name of “10 % is sufficient”, Meter IAF, a group of 17 member organizations threw this week in Washington DC, a national campaign as part of a transatlantic initiative to demand the establishment of a maximum limit of 10 per cent in the annual money-market rate for all kinds of loans.
According to the organizers, the campaign tries to finish with the practical usurers, who are those who really put the hard-working families in real financial predicaments turning into one of the principal causes of the economic crisis that crosses the country and that drags to the entire world.
As part of the campaign there were delivered letters directed to the executive presidents of the most important financial institutions of the country like Bank of America, Wachovia, Citibank, Capital One and JP Morgan Chase to request a meeting and to discuss the topic.
“ We have had very good reception and hope that they should confirm to us the meeting in the not major space of 18 days, which is the time that they have to expire with a financial obligation. We believe that it is the just thing”, it expressed to Washington Hispanic, the representative of Meter IAF, Ari Lipman, who pointed out that also simultaneous activities are realized in support to the campaign in Boston, New York, North Carolina and London.

Two years and three months after the massacre in the Technological University of Virginia (Virginia Tech), in which there died 32 teachers and students riddled to shots by a pupil – who then committed suicide - newly the psychiatric report was discovered on the author of the slaughter, Cho Seung-Hui.
On Wednesday, the 22nd, the governor of Virginia, Timothy M. Kaine, confirmed that the above mentioned documents “finally had been recovered”, which had disappeared in full investigation of the attack and they were not found in spite of an intense search.
Judicial sources pointed out that the above mentioned files threw for ground the reports presented after the bloody attack, in which one was discarding that Cho Seung-Hui had received psychiatric treatment in the Center of Psychological Consultancy of the University. Kaine revealed that the files of mental health of Seung-Hui were found in a chance way in the house of the ex-director of the Department, Robert Miller, who moved the files to his domicile more than one year before the massacre. Later, Miller was changed of position, to the center of human resources, and today it is in the retirement.
The governor announced the opening of a criminal investigation to determine why Miller took the files to his house. “I cannot deliver any more details on the circumstances in which the documents recovered, but it seems imperative to us that these files are made public as soon as possible”, indicated Kaine.
The discovery of the reports took place during the investigation realized by the lawyers who represent the families of two victims of Cho Seung-Hui, who demanded the State of Virginia, the university and the Center of Psychological Consultancy for negligence on not having prepared the attacks.

The mother, Beatriz Alzamora, and the stepfather, Marco Alzamora “Pilo“, paid an emotive tribute to him placing balloons and memories along with Bryan's portrait, opposite to the garden of his house in Centreville, where friends and relatives raised a chapel in memory of the murdered young man.
Beatriz Alzamora pointed out that during the holiday there was a discussion, where Guillermo Alvarado, who had been Bryan's partner in the secondary school, got angry when this one separated it so that it does not fight, saying to him that they were in a family house.
“ Half an hour later, Bryan was dancing and in a recess of the music, this young man him approached and after embracing it, asked him ‘to converse, but behind of the yard’, and the boys of the meeting said to him that they should not be going to fight, but Bryan calmed them saying to them that only they were going to converse”.
“ Bryan was taken to a dark place, to three houses of distance, where Alvarado asked for his weapon Nurse, of African American origin, with the intention of shooting my son, but the dark-haired person came for behind and shot him for the neck”, he reported.
Bryan, fatally hurt, managed to walk up to the entry of the house, where it collapsed.
An ambulance arrived half an hour later, taking it up to Fairfax's hospital. “A doctor said to me that Bryan came with vital signs still, but that they could do nothing to save the life”, said the mother.
He added that his son deposited to study NOVA last year, but he did not like the career and devoted itself to park cars, where him enough good was going.
“ He was a small joker, good, spontaneous, who liked the sauce and especially the topics of Héctor Lavoe”, it pointed out.
